English
For the English part of my project I wrote a letter to a fish hatcher. I wanted to get someone who was more familiar with fish and aquaculture, so I could get a different perspective on the topic. In my letter, I asked questions to the fish hatcher and also stated what I had learned and research during my project. For this, I mainly focused on the pros and cons of aquaculture and how it could affect the future. For this letter, I gave my perspective on the topic and am looking to receive another, more professional and experienced perspective on it as well. Below is the letter that I wrote to the fish hatchery.
Social Studies
The history aspect of my project included researching the inspections that have to be done in fish hatcheries as well as the regulations for fish inspections. I researched and found the enforcements that were made by the USDA in order for a fish to be considered safe to sell for eating. When looking at this, I felt that the enforcements were worded much more complicated than they actually were. I then made a version of the laws from a"farmer's" perspective, or someone who can't comprehend the original definitions. To the left is the USDA's enforcements from my perspective, which uses simpler words and sentences that make more sense.
